On the morning of July 27, the city's talent work conference was held. The conference deeply studied and implemented General Secretary Xi Jinping's important thoughts on doing a good job in talent work in the new era, fully implemented the spirit of the central and provincial talent work conferences and the provincial science and technology innovation conference, solemnly commended the first 'Water City Talents' award winners, studied and deployed the city's talent work, and accelerated the construction of a strong city of talents in the new era.
Li Changping, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Zhang Baishun, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, presided over the meeting. Wang Tongyu, Director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress, and Zeng Xiaoli, Chairman of the Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, attended the meeting.

The city's talent work has achieved new results. While seeing the achievements, we must also clearly recognize that there are still some shortcomings and deficiencies in the work, which must be continuously addressed.

On July 28, 2024, the 2024 Liaocheng "Belt and Road" International Exchange Conference and the Unveiling Ceremony of the Central Asia International High-end Talent Joint Training Base were held in the Liaocheng High-tech Zone University Science and Technology Park.
