Automated three-dimensional warehouses are a new concept in logistics warehousing. The use of three-dimensional warehouse equipment allows for the rationalization of high-level warehousing, automated access, and simplified operation; automated three-dimensional warehouses represent a currently high level of technology. The main body of an automated three-dimensional warehouse consists of shelves, aisle stackers, input/output workstations, and an automated input/output and control system. The shelves are steel structures or reinforced concrete structures, or structural bodies. Within the shelves are standard-sized storage spaces. Aisle stackers travel through the aisles between the shelves to complete the work of storing and retrieving goods. Management uses computer and barcode technology.
